The Komodo Dragon

Smallholder farmers grow this coffee on the volcanic Bajawa Plateau in central Flores. It offers a different side of Indonesia; clean, structured, and quietly bright. This coffee grows at 1,300 to 1,500 metres, where the cool highland climate and volcanic soil add real complexity. Farmers hand-pick the cherries, then pulp, ferment, and wash them before drying on raised beds. This fully washed process removes the fruit early, giving the coffee a clear, refined, and balanced taste. Indonesia is usually known for bold, heavy coffees. Komodo Dragon offers something different: it is smooth, drinkable, and elegant, with character but not too much intensity. You can enjoy it all day, and it works well as espresso or filter.
